“Amazing place to stay, comfortable, spacious with a great kitchen. In the apartments, full width sliding doors open the whole room onto a big balcony, gorgeous lush views and lots of sunshine. The location is great, a few mins walk to the beach or the lively main square, yet Casa Makawe feels like an oasis away from it all. The highlight is the rooftop infinity pool of course!”
“We stayed at Casa Makawe at the end of August 2025 and we had a WONDERFUL time!! It was supposed to be the rainy season but it only rained 2 evenings we were there and honestly the storms were so great to watch from the roof top/balcony of our room. The hosts are super nice and easy to contact for any questions or recommendations for things around town. The restaurant downstairs was super cute too and made it easy to grab a quick bite even if we just wanted to stay in. Also, the location of this hotel was great in our opinion because it's just a few blocks from the beach and the downtown center so you don't have to walk too far to get to anything but it also wasn't super loud or noisy at night either so we slept like babies! The room was clean and the A/C worked great. The only cons would maybe be that the water never got very hot (which doesn't matter too much because it's so hot outside!), the a/c shut's off during the night and doesn't auto turn back on, the kitchen doesn't have a ton of cutlery/extras but it's got the basics for us to get the job done cooking breakfast and reheating leftovers! Since it was the off season we basically had the place to ourselves and every time I went to the roof top pool I felt like I had the best private rooftop view/place to be in all of Sayulita! Getting to work remotely pool side was honestly the best!! All in all, Casa Makawe was AMAZING and we would recommend this place to anyone who is coming to Sayulita! Gracias!!!”
